I recently received this gorgeous UD travel set as a present and I am really loving using it! It has all the essential products you would need to create a simple day look or a natural smokey night look (which I love to do). Everything in this set is a New shade and isn't currently in any makeup palette/set etc.
There are:
- 6 eyeshadows (the highlighter is counted as a shadow as an all over shade).
- Bronzer.
- Blush.
- Travel size 24/7 Eye Pencil
- Travel size Mascara
- A full size Naked Lipgloss.
WHAT I LIKE:
1) Firstly the packaging is Gorgeous!! The case is rose gold metal but is made out of plastic so it makes it lighter; and there is a lovely print with the words embossed for a more effective look.
Inside has a Huuuge mirror (not pictured but it is the size of the lid!), and all the products are laid out neatly and easy to see.
2) I really like the fact that everything in this set is a new shade as it gives it more value and a reason to purchase the set instead of compiling a bunch of products that are already available into a travel-handy case.
3) The colour selection is very easy to wear and suitable for all skin-tones and a variety of looks can be created with the shadows. The shadows are also very pigmented and easy to apply.
4) Lovee the 24/7 pencil in Stag!!, this colour is lovely and chocolatey and is very suitable for everyday looks when a black liner is too intense and a brown/taupe liner is not dark enough. I use this everyday and it is very creamy and long lasting.
5) Personally I LOVE the bronzer shade. I contour my face everyday because I still have baby fat cheeks!..and this bronzer is great at giving me a defined face and doesn't appear orange/muddy.
WHAT I DISLIKE:
1) The mascara is pretty hard to take out.. I consider myself to have small hands, therefore people with larger hands must find it difficult! There just isn't enough room to fit your finger into the slot and pick it out (if you have long nails then it will probably be easier).
2) I like how there is a 50/50 choice of shimmer/matte shadows in the set, however I really think it lacks a matte dark brown shade to define the outer eye if you choose to go for a smokey look. The last shade (Stun) could be suitable however it does have gold shimmers which will reflect light instead of darkening the eye.
3) I am not a big fan of the lipgloss.. I have only used it once but thats only because I don't think the shade suits me well as I tend to go for nude shades. It is a dusty pink colour with a bit of shimmer which will suit a lot of people and would be great for the fall/winter seasons.
Overall, I really have been enjoying this palette and I have been reaching for it daily as everything is right there and I don't need to rummage through my makeup for all the individual items.
I hope this review was helpful and let me know what you think if you have tried this out!
Thanks for reading!,
